Since early 2009, Tameka Jones has been an avid entrepreneur. Her business and expertise include event planning and catering. She has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry; working for known catering businesses, corporate bar and grills, hotels, fine dining restaurants, and convention centers. As a skillful multitasker, she was able to provide attention to high-paced jobs while maintaining focus and dedication to her own business ventures.
Tameka’s experience inspired her to create her own wedding and event planning company in early 2012. During her years of planning successful weddings and events Tameka noticed a void between perfectly presented meals and tasty cuisines. Tameka noticed that this void was not only in the wedding industry but in the corporate industry as well.
One of Tameka’s grand ideas for catering was to unite creative tasty cuisines and business meetings. She wanted to provide businesses with the luxury of wowing their clients or rewarding their staff with a few fun and savory cuisines without leaving the office. What better way to inspire a sales team than to fill their bellies with soulful deliciousness? In October 2018, Tameka launched Outside the Box Catering and Events Inc; an et al to satisfy catering, event planning, and wedding coordination needs.
When not working or brainstorming new ideas, Tameka spends quality time watching movies with her two boys or having cocktails with girlfriends.
